This policy explains what information Palisade Analytics ("Palisade," "we," "us") collects through this website and in the course of our services, how we use it, and the choices you have.
01Information we collect
Information you give us. When you book a call, email us or otherwise contact us, we receive the details you provide, such as your name, email address, business name and anything you choose to tell us about your business.
Business data from clients. If you become a client and share sales exports from your point-of-sale system or other files with us, we use the business records needed for the analysis you request, such as orders, products, prices and inventory. Store records can contain information about your own customers. We do not need it for our work and limit our use of it to what the analysis requires.
Information collected automatically. Like most websites, our hosting provider may log basic technical information when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you view. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits and see which pages are read. It does not use cookies and does not identify individual visitors. This site also loads fonts from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address when the page loads.
The calculator on our homepage runs entirely in your browser. The numbers you enter are not sent to us or stored.
02How we use information
We use the information we collect to respond to you and schedule calls, to prepare estimates and deliver the analysis you engage us for, to communicate with you about your project, to keep our website and services working and secure, and to meet legal obligations.
We use client business data only to provide services to that client. We do not sell personal information, and we do not use your business data to serve advertising.
03How we share information
We share information only as needed to run our business:
- Service providers that help us operate, such as Calendly (scheduling), Cloudflare (website hosting and analytics), and our email and file-sharing providers. They may process information on our behalf under their own privacy terms.
- Legal reasons, when required by law or to protect our rights, our clients or others.
- Business changes, such as a merger or sale of the business, in which case this policy would continue to apply to your information.
04Cookies
This website does not use advertising or analytics cookies. Our analytics, Cloudflare Web Analytics, works without cookies. When you follow a link to book a call, Calendly's site may set its own cookies under its own policy. If we ever add cookies that are not strictly necessary, we will update this policy and ask for consent where required. Our Cookie Policy has the details.
05How long we keep information
We keep contact information for as long as needed to respond to you and maintain our business records. We delete client business data within 30 days after an engagement ends, unless the client asks us to keep it for ongoing work or the law requires us to keep it longer.
06Security
We use reasonable safeguards to protect the information we hold, including never asking for logins to your point-of-sale system and limiting access to the people doing your work. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
07Your choices and rights
You can ask us to access, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you by emailing us. Clients can ask us to delete their business data at any time. Depending on where you live, including California, you may have additional rights under local law, and we will honor requests as the law requires.
08Children
Our website and services are meant for businesses and are not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect their personal information.
09Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the effective date at the top of this page, and for significant changes we will take reasonable steps to let clients know.
